I’m a Londoner. This is our city and we share it with 10.5 million people. We live, work and play in 607 square miles. And for the most part, we get along, like siblings sharing a room. We are inclusive and welcoming to all, we celebrate difference and uniqueness. We have for hundreds of years, in our own funny way. On good days, we avoid eye contact on the tube and on bad days, we rally together in unity with a force and feeling that these vile, twisted little attackers could never understand. Tomorrow I will get on the tube and go to work like I do every day. And on Tuesday, I will go to my amazing Writers Cafe at The George Inn, 5 minutes from Borough Market where the Saturday attack occurred, because I will not be afraid of my own city. I’m a Londoner.
